Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with Brian's family. The kids were spoiled with gifts, new jammies, and lots & lots of attention.

We did the traditional family thankful tree- each person places their ornament on the tree and tells something that they're thankful for from the year.

Porter participated in the nativity skit. This year he got to be the camel. He must've liked it because this is the first year he hasn't thrown a fit!

The pictures are blurry-- I forgot my real camera and had to rely on my phone to document Lucy's first Christmas Eve. Oops!

Snow

Utah's been getting a lot of it lately. And Porter is LOVING it! On Christmas day, all the cousins went out to play in it. And although we didn't bring any snow clothes for Porter, he refused to be left out of the fun. So we bundled him up in Mommy's winter coat. He was happy to be playing in the snow and we were happy to watch and giggle at how funny he looked!

Yesterday, we met up with the cousins to do some sledding (appropriately dressed for the weather this time!). Porter loved it. The cold seriously doesn't ever seem to bother him. I think he'd freeze into a statue before he'd ever choose to go inside. He's a funny kid!

If he wasn't being put on a sled quickly enough, then Porter would lay down at the top of the hill and try to slide down on his belly.

Isn't this a pretty location for sledding? It's an old schoolhouse in my parents' hometown. That's actually where they both went to kindergarten and my grandmother taught there. It's a museum now. Man, I wish schoolhouses looked like that nowadays!

Merry Christmas

We didn't send out Christmas cards this year. But we want all of our friends and family to know that we're thinking about you and hoping you're having a wonderful Christmas season!

Porter Loves Lucy

Every day this week, Porter has begged to hold Lucy. He sits in the glider and I set her on his lap. And that's when the fun begins!

Porter rocks/glides back and forth with the biggest smile on his face. Then if Lucy even moves a muscle, Porter shouts, "She's moving!" Then he cracks up.

I love these kids!
