Why I didn't blog this week

On top of teaching preschool and going to doc appts and having my husband work insane hours for a filming project at work . . . for three afternoons this week, I got to be in charge of these 4 cuties (ages 1, 2, 3, 4). Oh my. What a bunch of sweeties! But I really think it's good to have crazy busy weeks every now and then . . . because after all that, going back to our regular routine makes it seem so much easier than it felt before!

(Even with this one who started refusing to nap this week!)

angry birds have infiltrated every area of our lives

Stroke of inspiration: kids screaming in store, nothing in my purse to bribe them but a pen. I drew two eyes on a finger then told them they could earn the smile by having fewer than 3 warnings while I finished shopping. They turned into perfect angels for the rest of the trip. Desperation is the mother of invention.

My budding photographers take so many pictures with my phone. I always find random pictures of myself. I delete most of them. But sometimes I keep a few here or there.

Porter spelled Lucy's name on his own!

It's a terrible picture, but I have to document Lucy's new obsession with princess movies. She rarely sits through a 20 minute tv show, but we started buying princess movies and she pulls her chair up to the tv and sits through the entire film. She loves princesses.

Porter and Mommy got to go to a BYU game. We forgot we even had the tickets until 2 hours before the game. We only stayed for the first half, but we had so much fun!

October for us is donut month. Tradition.

This was the first and last time Lucy wore those cute boots. The nylon lining got full of all that hay and I can't get it out. It feels like slivers. So sad.

I had a sick week. Thank goodness for frozen waffles.

Pumpkin patch. Tradition.

Nye Halloween Dinner. Lucy was scared to death of  that sasquatch (aka, Daddy).
